The EmbreySimpson story comes full circle in Trey and Barton’s own corporate headquarters. Because what they do for other buildings, they also did for themselves. The guys took a liking to an old, quirky, wedge-shaped building at 601 East Ashby in San Antonio. Part of the funky, personality-laden “St. Mary’s Strip in San Antonio, the oddly-shaped structure had been there since the 1920’s—and had gone through a wide variety of reincarnations. It had been everything from a dance studio to a pottery gallery to a barbecue stand to a retailer of rather vulgar merchandise. To say the building was dilapidated would be understated and very kind. But Trey and Barton saw the possibilities. It took 4 long months of hard—and challenging—work. But today, the building (which Trey and Barton have dubbed “The Wedge”) definitely falls in the category of tastefully classy and cool. So much so that it’s not unusual for strangers to occasionally drop in to satisfy a curiosity about the building’s total transformation. You’re cordially invited to do the same. And while you’re at it, clicking on the “Before &After” snapshots of some of EmbreySimpson’s other projects.
